Introduction
Daily Update Calendar feature will show UTC+0 time and your each day’s and month’s word count to help you keep track of your writing journey and check if you are eligible for any benefits.
Here, we offer a simple guide in the form of Q&A to help you get familiar with the Calendar. Hope this feature can make things easier. :)
All dates below are calculated based on UTC+0 time
1 What counts as a successful update?
- You open a new chapter and write no less than 1000 words within a day (UTC+0 time 0:00-23:59).
- Current date on the Daily Update Calendar becomes highlighted in orange, which means a successful update.
* Keep track of your daily update and check if you are eligible for Daily Update Bonus.
2 What does “words published today” mean?
- It calculates the word count of the chapters that you NEWLY publish on the current day.
- Please note that your edition of the previous chapters won’t affect your “words published today”, but will lead to changes in the number in the “words published today” module on the day when you opened and published the chapters under edition.
3 What does “words published this month” mean?
- It reflects the total word count of the chapters you have published during the current month (or, it equals the whole sum of “words published today” in the current month).
*Check your “words published this month” to see if you are eligible for Daily Update Bonus and confirm if you fulfill the required word count per month in your contract.
4 Does edition over the past chapters affect my update on the current day?
No, editing the chapters that you published earlier won't affect your update on the current day.
But please note that, if you edit past chapters, you cannot reduce the word count in a single chapter to less than 1000 words, which will lead to failures to republish the edited chapter.
5 Does edition over the past chapters affect payment for the current month?
If you edit past chapters, your base fee word count for the current month will accordingly be affected, even if you edit chapters published in previous months.
6 Can I update more than one chapter each day?
Yes, you are encouraged to update more words or chapters than the minimum requirements!
